so i spent 3 days vibing with claude to make this site.
the ai did a surprisingly good job of copying someone elses code. definitely faster than i could have with no frontend experience.
i actually hate how good it was. i've not even read all of the code outside of the build script to make sure my secrets don't leak.
could have i done this properly, yes. eventually. but time doesn't wait.
i didn't care to figure out fancy frameworks and components and routers only to have my website take too long to load.
but i did just want to type in a markdown and have that show up in the internet someplace.
and yes, the environmental impact doesn't agree with me doing this. hell i still loath me doing this.
i handed over money to some of the worst people on the plannet to get this small island on the internet.
why?
to have a vague sense that i left a mark and existed?
to vent into the ether?
not sure...
i am hosting this in my fastmail and the lovely wisp.place site
so long after my automatic payments for my account and registry would cease... i would still technically be here.
there are, also, two websites in this trenchcoat.
- one is at /nojs that screen readers get forwarded to that you can get to with a /nojs/
- and the other what you first see when you hit this domain.
i've become a fan of keyboard navigation as well. so that is why the site is what it is.
and naturally enjoy my assortment of keyboars. i'll eventually post them here.
shout to:
for inspiring this mess
